Outpatient care for adults
At our psychiatry outpatient care we deal with mental disorders and illnesses. In the background of these illnesses different types of cognitive, emotional and behavioral disorders can be found. The psychiatrist treats the diagnosed mental disorders and illnesses with basically two methods: pharmaceutical therapy, psychotherapy and the combination of them.
During psychotherapy there is a possibility to recognize the problems and causes standing in the background of the symptoms.
The patient and the psychiatrist are looking for possible solutions in cooperation. The meetings and conversations lead to find, to know such problem-solving methods, which may help the patient to solve his/her similar problems in the future on his/her own.
In case of certain disorders or illnesses an adequate pharmaceutical therapy may help in the healing process, or may be a supplement or a temporary solution in lessening the symptoms. The need for pharmaceutical treatment is considered individually depending on the diagnosis, symptoms, personality of the patient and his/her relation to his/her illness.
